Friends

This is Dr. Douglas Gordon, PhD.  Musician, teacher, husband, father and my friend of whom I am sooo proud.  Doug and I went through undergrad together at JSU, we were Marching Southerners, Phi Mu Alpha brothers in the same pledge class and I haven’t seen him nearly enough over the past, well, I won’t say how many years…but that’s gonna change.  Dr. Gordon now teaches music theory at our alma mater.  Yep, I’m proud to know him and call him friend.  We did some headshots yesterday and we got to spend some time together.  It was a great day for me.

I had the privilege of photographing Katherine, Elizabeth and John and the amazing Jake.  What a great family and the most well-behaved dog that I’ve ever photographed.  We captured some truly amazing images.  Here are a few:

Another beautiful day downtown.  Sarah and Matt came over late this afternoon and we shot some incredible images.  Can’t wait until the wedding.

Lauren and John’s Engagement

Today was a cold day.  A cloudy day.  One of those days that started out yucky ( is that a word?).  Then Lauren and John showed up.  The clouds rolled away and it got really warm…well, the clouds thing is right but the warm part didn’t happen.  I’m not photographing their wedding next May, but I had the privilege of photographing their engagement session.  We do lots of bridal, engagement and day-after sessions for folks whose weddings we’re not shooting…give us a call at 205-807-7829 if you are interested in having Studio G photograph your wedding (or non-wedding) related session.

Here are a few…don’t these remind you of the movie, “The Notebook”?
