It’s exciting times around Studio G these days. First, I got my competition entries off to WPPI at the last minute. More about that later…fingers crossed haha! Now, the BIG THING…IT’S SHARK WEEK BAYBEE!!!!!! I’m designing albums, editing weddings and I’ve got Jaws eatin’ folks in the background. Don’t get much better den dis!

Whew, what a week! I’m just now getting around to blogging Lauren and Eduardo’s beautiful wedding at Prince of Peace and Vestavia Country Club. Music was by Danny Brewer of Feel the Beat and was fabulous as always. I’ve been around Lauren’s family for a while, having photographed her cousins Taylor and Anna Beth’s weddings and I really enjoy our time together. Here are a few:

Whew, I’ve had 4 weddings in the span of 8 days! After 3 outdoor events, Jessica and Slade’s wedding at Riverchase UMC and reception at Matt Jones Gallery was a welcomed relief from the heat. The wedding was gorgeous! It was great working with Main Street Productions who did the video, and Vince Gray from Flowerstems, who did the floral design and it was fabulous as always!

Y’all will have to indulge me on a longer than normal blog post. I have been privileged to photograph some amazing weddings and I’ve made lifelong friends with folks who started off as clients and became friends. Well, Kristy and Jon’s wedding was the exception to this. We DIDN”T become friends. I didn’t try to get to know them before the wedding. I didn’t care where their wedding was going to be. See, the first time that I saw Jon he was in St. Vincent’s Hospital. His long term prognosis was good, but he weighed something less than 10 lbs., or so…and he was about a day old. Jon’s my nephew and he had the good taste to ask Uncle Greg to photograph the wedding haha! Kristy’s been around for about five years and after a few holidays around Joanie (Jon’s mom), Jan (auntie and my wife) and Clink-Clink (Grandmom), she didn’t run away LOL! The wedding was gorgeous and after some heavy rain the light was spectacular.

Entertainment was by awesome dj, Mike Shell from Shell Entertainment Agency. The gorgeous floral design was by Gloria’s Arrangements in Odenville. Catering was by Brenda Hamby from Countryside Farm.

Lindsay and Blake’s Wedding!

Lindsay and Blake got married this weekend at beautiful Mathews Manor. Entertainment was provided by Feel the Beat. We did a little planning beforehand for the fireworks photos and Lindsay and Blake were troopers! A few weeds didn’t scare them! Her are a few:
